Overview

Teja Flourista, nestled on the ground floor of No.80 Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah in the heart of Chow Kit, Kuala Lumpur, is a charming European-style coffee shop that offers more than just your average café experience. The blend of cozy, low-lit interiors and thoughtfully curated music creates an intimate atmosphere, perfect for those seeking a quiet respite from the city bustle. This spot has quickly become a favored destination for weekend visits, drawing in coffee lovers, casual diners, and pastry enthusiasts alike.

The highlight here undoubtedly revolves around their floral drinks and fine pastries. The Rose Latte, vividly described by patrons as a creamy embrace with delicate floral undertones, stands out as a signature choice. It captures the gentle essence of the café’s approach—comforting yet distinct. Complementing this unique offering are selections like the Mango Victorian Sandwich, Chocolate Tart, and the Iced Latte Croissant, which pair remarkably well with their rich, aromatic brews such as Long Black Coffee and Nougat and Nuts. The menu, while rich in sweet and savory treats, has seen some adjustments with fewer heavy meal options available, signaling a stronger focus on drinks and light bites.

Space-wise, Teja Flourista prioritizes coziness over expansiveness. Seating is plush but compact, with tables that can feel a bit snug when juggling both meals and devices, suggesting the venue caters more to casual coffee dates rather than lengthy work sessions. The intimate setting, however, fosters a warm, inviting vibe that encourages relaxed conversations and savoring flavors without rush.

Service receives high praise for its friendliness and attentiveness, reinforcing the personalized charm of this hideaway. Customers appreciate the fair pricing and the genuine hospitality, though some note the limitation of cash-only payments, an aspect to keep in mind when visiting. Despite this, the blend of aromatic coffees, refined pastries, and a unique selection of floral-inspired drinks crafts an experience that feels both modern and nostalgic.

Teja Flourista’s target audience is clear: those who appreciate thoughtful coffee craftsmanship paired with elegant pastries in a setting that nurtures comfort and calm. Whether it’s an afternoon tea rendezvous or a casual weekend escape, this café holds a special promise—a delicious moment wrapped in floral aromas and cozy ambience.

Stopped by a lovely café that specializes in floral drinks and couldn’t resist the rose latte. It’s a creamy blend with gentle floral notes—like a warm hug in a cup!

Very quaint and cozy café with an immense selection of different drinks along with their fine pastries as well. Actual food choices (AKA: meals), they seem to be eliminating unfortunately. They've crossed out many on their menu. Very comfy seats but tiny tables though. I couldn't imagine sitting there with food and drink along with a laptop. Jeez, when they brought out my drink and small plate, I barely had room for my mobile phone. Then my girlfriend arrives and it's even more confined... Service is off the charts though! Cash only unfortunately... their point of sale device is defunct.

European-style cafe, what a vibe ! I love the low-light ambience here. Coffee and pastry is good, though they have other heavy food options like nasi lemak and so on

5 star mostly for the ambient, the comfort and the coziness of this place. The interior is elegantly decorated and setup. The songs played throughout my dine-in were matched perfectly well with the environment. Ordered only 2 drinks - the tapir tapping soda and an americano. Soda is obviously refreshing in this hot weather; the americano however, is rather sour possibly due under extraction. As a coffee enthusiast, alot of improvement needed on the coffee. The varieties of bakery are perfect for an afternoon tea, priced reasonably too. It's definitely a weekend place. Parking is relatively easier without the weekday working crowd. I like this place. Will return and recommended!

Good drinks/ food. Lovely staff. They are very welcoming to digital nomads/ people who want to work in their cafe. The staff kept bringing me waters while I was working for an extended period of time. You have to be able to snap one of only two plug ins though.

Been here 3 times now and it's consistently great. Escaping from the heat of a KL afternoon into this cafe is a joy - and the ice coffee hits the spot. Ambience is just right, very pleasant and comfortable. Coffees have been excellent , and the baked goods (which are all baked on the premises) and delicious I recommend this place if you're looking for a more western style cafe experience

Come only you have alot of time to spare. Waited almost an hour for food (30mins for our coffee and another 30mins for our food). Came on weekends (Saturday) and they only have FEW FOOD selection available. Their food really above average (worth the wait) and shaken affogato latte was really nice though. Staff was patient and kind. Nice to spend your time there and chitchat away from your busy life.
